TWU Local 570 Executive Board Election
Update: April 17, 2026
To keep all members informed, below is a step-by-step update on the status of the Executive Board (E-Board) election process:
1. Nominations (March 9–13, 2025) COMPLETED
Nominations were conducted during the March membership meeting.
All nominated candidates were officially recorded.
2. Posting of Nominated Candidates — COMPLETED
The list of nominated candidates was posted for membership review following the meeting.
3. Candidate Notification — COMPLETED
Letters were sent to each nominated candidate, requesting confirmation of acceptance or decline of their nomination.
All candidates have submitted their responses.
4. Accepted Nominations (Posted April 8, 2026) COMPLETED
Candidates who accepted their nominations have declared the positions they are seeking.
This information has been posted for membership review.
5. Candidate Good Standing Review — IN PROGRESS
The Secretary-Treasurer is currently verifying that all candidates meet “good standing” requirements in accordance with the Local and TWU Constitution.
This step ensures that all candidates are eligible before moving forward.
6. Candidate Eligibility Confirmation — UPCOMING
Once the good standing review is complete:
· Final candidate names and positions will be confirmed
· Eligible candidates will appear on the official ballot
Election Vendor & Ballot Process
7. Election Vendor Coordination — IN PROGRESS
The Local has engaged an independent election vendor to administer the election.
Current actions include:
· Reviewing vendor availability
· Requesting pricing and service details
· Awaiting a formal contract and cost proposal
8. Membership Data Collection — IN PROGRESS
To ensure all eligible members receive ballots, updated member information is being compiled:
Envoy Air:
· Fleet Service — Received (April 13. 2026) COMPLETED
· Maintenance & Related — Received (April 14, 2026) COMPLETED
Spirit Airlines:
· Guest Service Agents — Received (April 15, 2026) COMPLETED
Member names and mailing addresses will be securely provided to the election vendor for ballot distribution.
9. Next Steps
· Finalize vendor selection, contract, and election timeline
· Vendor prepares and distributes ballots to eligible members
